2010 Event Report & Gallery

We were blessed with great weather at Flame and Thunder this year and the show had all the ingredients for a fantastic family day out. The track opened slightly later than planned but there were lots of other activities going on including Drift Passenger Rides, Monster Truck Rides, the Ice Skating rink, static car displays including Movie Cars, Hot Rods and Lowriders, the Wall of Death, Circus Whiz, Titan the Robot and more! This is without even mentioning the action packed Live Action Arena shows including Jason Smythe on his Stunt Quad Bike, Podzilla and Swamp Thing Monster Trucks and Terry Grant. These guys performed throughout the day including one special show in the darkness which made for some awesome viewing. Chris Doney and UKFMX also put on some excellent 2 wheeled displays throughout the day.

Once the track was up and running it was non stop action right through the day and into the darkness from a huge selection of both 2 wheeled and 4 wheeled machines. We have to mention Andy Speck who became the fastest FWD car in the UK with a time of 9.86s, well done Specky! Jet Thrust was the theme of the day with a vast array of Jet Powered vehicles including Dragsters, Funny Cars, Go Karts, Trucks and even a Beetle!

There was something to watch everywhere you looked and the sky was no exception with Stunt Pilot Mark Jefferies performing a jaw-dropping aerobatic display and the Black Knights who parachuted their way into Santa Pod. As night fell along with the temperatures Rocket Ronnie in his Roaring Thunder Jet Truck warmed things up by lighting the massive bonfire before the big finale, the fireworks display.
